Von Urpiner zum Uhrenturm
Nach einer kurzen, aber intensiven Arbeit am Projekt zog es uns zur Besichtigung der nahegelegenen Brauerei Urpiner. Wir bekamen authentische Einblicke in die Herstellung, das Brauen, die Lagerung und die Abfüllung des Bieres. Wir sahen die warme Maische im Maischbottich und die Lagerung in riesigen Tanks im Kühlhaus. Natürlich durfte auch eine Verkostung nicht fehlen – direkt aus der Lagerung. Frischer geht es nicht!
Von dort aus ging es in die Altstadt von Banská Bystrica, wo wir Herrn Buchheim und Frau Jungheinrich eine Stadtführung gaben. Vom Uhrenturm Hodinová veža aus hatten wir einen tollen Blick über die gesamte Stadt.
Danach füllten wir im Tesco einen kompletten Einkaufswagen für unser Abschlussessen mit unseren slowakischen Gästen nach der Projektpräsentation. Zurück in der Villa Gloria arbeiteten wir noch bis 19 Uhr am Projekt weiter, bevor wir zum Abendessen nach Donovaly aufbrachen.

After a short but intensive period of work on the project, we got a guided tour through the nearby Urpiner brewery. We gained authentic insights into the production, brewing, storage, and bottling of beer. We saw the warm mash in the mash tun and the storage in huge tanks in the cold store. Of course, a tasting was also a must—directly from the storage. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!
From there, we went to the old town of Banská Bystrica, where we gave Mr. Buchheim and Ms. Jungheinrich a guided tour of the city. From the Hodinová veža clock tower, we had a great view of the entire city.
Afterwards, we filled a whole shopping cart at Tesco for our final dinner with our Slovakian guests after the project presentation. Back at Villa Gloria, we continued working on the project until 7 p.m. before heading to Donovaly for dinner.
